When President Bill Clinton adopted the ESIGN Act in 2000, he gave birth to a legal framework for electronic signatures in the United States. Since then, most countries have in turn assigned the same legal value to electronic signatures as they do to handwritten signatures.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Fun fact: <\/strong>The term \u201celectronic signature\u201d refers to all types of electronic signatures, including images of handwritten signatures, check boxes, signatures affixed via a web platform, and signatures linked to a digital certificate.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Each type of electronic signature has a different level of legal reliability. As a result, their use will change depending on the context and compliance requirements.<\/p>\n
