Solutions Sales Consultant

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Solutions Consultant (SC) Supports the Sales and Customer Success teams in winning deals and guiding them through the sales process from discovery, customer presentations and demonstrations, technical responses in RFI/RFPs, proof-of-concept delivery, and other sales enablement activities. Sales Solutions Consultant will partner with our Sales and Customer Success teams to identify customer pain points, and then propose and demonstrate solutions that leverage Portage CyberTech platform and related cloud solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver revenue by winning deals, retaining customers, and upselling existing customers.
  • Design and maintain sales demonstration data content, demo scripts, and competitive scenarios to best position PortageCyberTech’s products and services.
  • Provide deal support to Sales and Customer Success teams for complex solution scenarios and propose creative solutions.
  • Contribute to the completion of demo videos, and demo environment configuration during each release cycle.
  • Stay up-to-date and provide feedback on feature designs, product roadmap and development progress for areas of product responsibility.
  • Experience selling, configuring, demonstrating, and articulating technical product or data set based on the requirements/needs of the customer
  • A demonstrated understanding of distributed systems, demo environments, cloud platform, API and software tools

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have or will develop the ability to speak comfortably to Portage CyberTech’s platform, roadmap, major partners, competition, and enterprise systems integrations and challenges.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments within Portage CyberTech to provide a valuable and consistent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with implementation and delivery teams to exchange information during the pre- to post-sale handoff process.
  • You will have the ability to travel up to 25% under normal business conditions.
  • We are preferably seeking senior-level candidates for this role.
  • 8+ years of expertise in interactive customer discovery and analysis of current operations and business needs – preferred but open depending on relevant experience
  • 8+ years of expertise in the development and presentation of demonstrations that showcase cutting-edge software solutions for prospects and customers exceeding 10,000 employees – preferred but open depending on relevant experience
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JS and PHP is a must. Angular or React is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions is a plus.
  • Experience across a broad range of software applications that can be translated to what Portage CyberTech does in digital service enablement. Examples include but aren’t limited to: digital identity, identity and access control, e-commerce, website building, report building, the configuration of any software platform
  • Professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills adapted to every level from project team members to C-Level executives, interfacing with and selling to the offices of CIO, CDO, CISO, and CTO.
  • Expertise in the development and presentation of demonstrations that showcase cutting-edge software solutions for prospects and customers
  • Experience working with Channel Partners and Strategic Alliances is beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Bi-lingual (English/French) language skills are preferred.
